"Exactly what role the couple will have going forwards is not clear" - reporter on the BBC1 lunchtime news today.

Most reports give the impression that "the couple" are going backwards.

Maybe as this seemed to arise at Christmas they have decided that backwards is not a good idea!

Manages to insult both the existing and potential audiences.
At least Suzi Klein only insults the existing audience.

The Sex Pistols and Black Sabbath ? Arguably as much historic figures now as Liszt and Wagner.

It may be a while since their heyday, but Sabs and the Pistols were surely C20 bands ?

Yes! The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra has been doing it for some years, not quite at the 'mad, bad...' level, but I find it offensive. Presumably the idea is to lure those who don't normally go to 'classical' music events .

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

However one chooses to phrase it I would ask "how do we know"?
