Now I think more about it, there's a combination of colour and texture, and sometimes 'impossible' colours associated here - Wednesday is custard texture but both yellow and red (but not orange) simultaneously. There's also a touch of opulently togged duvet about it, but that might just be wishful thinking.
Do the days of the week have colours to you?

The days of the week have different weights. Wednesday and Thursday are the lightest. Sunday night at 23.06 is the heaviest.
If, though, you are compiling a colour table, I would like to contribute:
Mon - Midnight Blue, Tue - Pillar Box Red, Wed - Racing Green, Thur - Daffodil Yellow, Fri - Orange (Summer) Pink (Winter)
Sat - Sky Blue, Sun - On a scale between Deep Purple and the earlier mentioned Puce.

Some are more intense than others for me.
Definitely Saturday yellow and Sunday black.
Friday greyish, perhaps with a hint of hound's-tooth pattern.
Wednesday maroon.
Thursday a sort of pale magenta.
Monday and Tuesday both brownish-grey and somewhat undefined.
I'll get on the couch now ...

Born On A Blue Day by Daniel Tammet ... "I was born on 31 January 1979 - a Wednesday. I know it was a Wednesday, becasue the date is blue in my mind and Wednesdays are always blue, like the number nine or the sound of loud voices arguing."
A fascinating read

(And, sals, isn't The Mind Readers Allingham's weakest novel?)

I have a special fondness for Flowers For The Judge - probably because of the charming final chapter, long after we know whodunnit.

(Yes, it is "off-topic", but at least I have a glimmer of understanding what's going on! The "what fragrence is Friday" doesn't compute with me!)Numquam Satis!
