Do the days of the week have colours to you?

I remember reading in Margery Allingham's The Mind Readersthat some people see the days in certain colours.

If there are enough replies we could always get antongould to make a definitive list

    Sunday Grey, Monday Brown, Tuesday Yellow, Wednesday Green, Thursday Blue or Mauve, Friday Gold, Saturday Red. {per esempio}

you and Thursdays....!!Clearly not a good mix !

Anyway, just had a quick conversation with somebody, (and its not me!) who I thought might...and this person says...

          Monday White
          Tuesday Blue
          Wednesday Yellow
          Thursday Green
          Friday Navy/or a bit variable.
          Saturday Yellow
          Sunday Dark Maroon.

This person also said that it would feel ridiculous to suggest , for example, that Tuesday is Red.

Not sure why there are two yellow days.

Thursdays purplish. It's to do with the look of the word on the page...

If we're talking about synaesthesia, I seem to recall this series of Reith lectures was interesting:

Series of Reith Lectures given by Vilayanur S. Ramachandran (Director of the Centre for Brain and Cognition, University of California, San Diego) on - The Emerging Mind in 2003

I don't understand the question! Do the people who've replied mean that every Thursday (for example) is "puce", regardless of the Season, or whether they're in the Cotswolds or in Scunthorpe?

(And, sals, isn't The Mind Readers Allingham's weakest novel?)

or half day closing in some places.

Fernetbranca, I have no idea what they're on about either...

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
