Good Thursday morning from Sunny Wiltshire.

A perfect day to investigate the much discussed Popov First Symphony, and to anticipate the weekend.

Arrived back in Wilts from a holiday in Ireland. Very good trip. Beans and potatoes are ready to eat, also some rather magnificent loganberries to go with breakfast cereal. Most impressive thing in our not huge garden at the moment is an acanthus with about 15 tall spikes. Last year it didn't produce any.

Hello everyone. I've not posted for a while, but I'm still around. Lovely weather here in the North of Scotland - almost unbearable. Best wishes to all.

It certainly will! I still have no idea which way to vote. I almost wish someone would make the decision for me...

Probably if in doubt vote NO . I think only if convinced one should Votes YES - a bit like being sure beyond reasonable doubt - I am far from sure I would want to go in for independence not proven !!!

On your reasoning, reasonable for sure, one also needs to be certain that the status quo is worth preserving.

I would look carefully at what British governments have done over the last 30 years, and who really pulls the strings.

PG, PM me if you need advice on that vote.

It is a really big decision to make though, and no doubt many people feel very torn. Hard to know what to think also, in the face of so much spin.......

                          Morning all.

Sending positive vibes to everyone on this Thursday.

Looks like work commitments will allow me to attend Bruckner 8 tonight.

                          Really quite excited.

Well done Alison! Got a road trip out of London for work today, so I can get some sounds on in the car; then this evening, Jan Lisiecki playing Chopin's Piano Concerto No 1 Looking forward greatly - Dvorak 'New World' and 'Vltava' too - so three of those warhorses that, for me, always raise a smile and are always welcome to clip-clop by!!

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Since it's now been Thursday for over 15 hours, I can tell you that I've listened to Villa-Lobos's 7th Symphony (very noisy) and RVW's 5th (not). I've also been revising my Op. 54, the 1995 "Little Suite'.

That's good news. Will be off to catch my train down to London shortly.

I'm in seat A70 on the front row of the Circle if any other boardees want to drop by and say hello.
