Thursdays have been getting a bit of a raw deal on the forum recently. tomorrow could be a good 'un though.
Weather is on the up, there is another bank holiday looming, and there is much great music to listen to. Might search out some of those exotic gins from the refreshment room.

tomorrow for me....Berwald 3 and 4 perhaps, some Myaskowsky and William Schumann maybe, and ......and so on !!

Have a good thursday when we get there.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Yes, lets get Thursday rocking now.

Deflated by Leicester's play off failure, weary of ongoing chilliness and not sleeping too well
I am nevertheless counting my blessings.

Two good cards at York and Newmarket to look forward to (Ataraxis a non runner in the 6.25) and a day off
        to follow on Friday.

it actually feels about average down here this evening.
14 degrees and dry/cloudy for Newmarket tomorrow. Few more cool days then warming up next week.

              or so it says ......

Going on the soft side still though, I should think.....

Right on, 14 degrees is tolerable.

Which is your nearest racecourse then Sainty ?

Salisbury. I don't go often these days, family life rather makes for tricky choices. Not all that fond of Salisbury as a course either.

I got into racing when working at ladbrokes as a student, and still enjoy a day out.

my favourite course is probably Fontwell. the racing is a bit Div 2, but you get a cracking view, and its a nice day out. The figure of 8 chase course confuses some of the less able animals, I suspect!!

Newmarket just a short hop for you, Alison? never been myself.....

Been waiting for months for Ataraxis to appear then this...

This god-awful weather is proving to be very trying indeed and playing havoc with choosing the horses so I've decided to leave off until Saturday - unless we get an Alison tip!

As days go, yesterday was Thursday and not too bad.

Last Mandarin class at the embarrassingly-named Lifelong Learning So'ton Uni. We brought along pictures as an antidote to the relentlessly traditional textbook - but at least we got book 2 completed on schedule. We clapped the tutor politely at the end.

I like to go to evening class in the summer, though, because one can go across the Common without fear of being mugged.

No swim, though. I'm trying to go to the Quays twice a week. More than £3 a session now.

Well a gorgeous June day most places I think.
Good day at work for me, and off to see the Oysterband tonight. Can't say fairer than that really.
Hope you are all having a good one also, if not, get some good music on and let that take care of it all, as best it can.
And can you try to cheer Thropplenoggin up while I am out please?
