I have it on good authority that one of our distinguished trio of current bicentenerians didn't approve of Thursdays in principle; now which one of them it may have been and/or for what reason/s I am perhaps wisely loath even to contemplate, although the French for that day might possibly offer a kind of clue to some...

And January now into double figures ! The passage of time us a fascinating subject.

I'm really excited as I have three days off in a row starting on Friday following a period of sustained work.

You really can't enjoy music when you're so tired.

A quick Musical-Google aka iTunes Store threw up quite a few songs called Thursday...can't vouch for the musicality or the sanity of the lyrics, mind!

But haven't you noticed how quickly January seems to pass ? Maybe because for many the first week is a non-event due to extended holidays etc.

"Mrs. Thursday" was the B side (does that count?) of a Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich hit. I acquired it in a job lot of old 45s

            PS It's f*****g terrible!

I've never been fond of programme music ! Even so I propose Mrs Thursday as the theme music to this thread . . .

I dont remember the TV show or that tune, from the time, but I do vaguely remember Dave Dee on Crakerjack cracking a whip!

Brian Eno's got a one-hour piece dedicated just to Thursday afternoons.

Loads of songs with Thursday in them, I expect Lat is right about Top 40 A sides though.

They call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad

Wednesday's worse, and Thursday's also sad

Yes the eagle flies on Friday, and Saturday I go out to play

Saw Chris Farlowe sing that unaccompanied a few years ago as part of the Manfreds tour - he's a big guy but what an amazing voice!

All a matter of an opinion. That's not my idea of a non event RM !!!
