That way, we could dispose of Wednesday altogether and kids at school wouldn't have to bother about how to spell it and I'd be rid of bloody Wednesday, when nothing good has ever happened to me and I'll be able to shut my eyes now and then open them again and it will be Thursday and that's all right; because you know you're getting near to the weekend when it's Thursday. I'll drop a line to the Prime Minister about it tomorrow. Now then, would tomorrow be Thursday or Friday?
He abandoned the problem and looked at his watch. Eight fifteen, plenty of time yet ... No, there isn't! There's something that has to be done right now! .....
No longer a problem, but now our nearest Lending Library is closed all day on Wednesdays - which I forget until I arrive at those big closed wooden doors.
So Thursday is welcome. More than halfway through the week. Fish and Chips on Saturday and Sunday Roast.
