Sorry to hear of your accident, eighth - hope you (and the others) didn't suffer any serious injury.

I hope, too, you'll think again about leaving. There are idiots on boths sides and I'm seriously thinking of zapping posts which break the House Rules. Or creating a forum for them called 'Hell' which will be the only one they can access ...
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

You will notice that my post does not contain any of my content . It is in fact a copy/paste from one of RM's earlier posts on another thread. While I like to think I am sarcastic, I am never quite so rude.

      ....sorry for confusing you ff....

I was about to post slightly confused best wishes to whoever had survived the crash... Which thread was it on? (You can copy and paste quotes from another thread, you know.... then it would (a) be clear it's RM's wording and (b) be possible to click on the little arrows and be taken straight to that thread...

Were you intending to echo his thoughts, as regards the debate on this thread?

        Glad you're ok!

Tuesday afternoon I was in a car accident. My car was written off. I survived. So did the others. After a space of a couple of days I dip into this thread.

Profoundly depressed with the pedantry...who whom..who the f*ck cares. Of people saying 'I knew X who had a hard time therefore you are all basta*rds'. Of witterings. Even Radio 3 sounds sane at times compared to the inane drivel posted here. So good people....listen up. Go and get a f*cking life. Let others do what they want to do. Don't preach. You're not God. Or Jesus. Buddha. Muhammed.

              RM...over and out.
              OH! I see...!

More livid cerise with taupe and lime cross-hatchings...

Now I've gone and confused myself.

I wonder what they'd have made of the 2010 pre-election polls
I think he got it spot on in 2008 too? Looking at individual states makes sense. It also helps if there isn't inbuilt bias. I now have serious questions about the motivations behind some serious polls. At the same time, I think he's been lucky. Presumably he had no clear way of predicting levels of turnout, either overall or among groups. Weather can be a factor there. There are others.

If he is more than lucky, it is a pity that he didn't apply the same methodology to the Greek elections. Perhaps he could have helped stabilise the markets. In that light, an alternative opinion in the coming months on Germany would be useful to do the same.

Any idea how long it was between RM's farewell post & his return? I hadn't noticed that he was absent.
