Yes! Good news tonight. That's brightened my weekend, as has the news that Ozzie has been caught in a first class seat with a second class ticket.
Lastly, the boat race swimmer has been jailed for six months. This is NOT good news. However, the judge said that he had been jailed "for spoiling the enjoyment of others". On those grounds, I look forward to the rapid incarceration of a whole lot of people, including, but not limited to, all politicians, and those responsible for Radio Three "Breakfast".
(Sorry, Frances_iom. Whip hand. )

Now why couldn't he have done the decent thing, and offered to pay immediately before being involved in any discussion! Don't bother to reply!

"The proceeding contratante might never have come to light if it had not been for an eagle eared television journalist who happened to be sat nearby."
Pedantry alert. Forgive my ignorance, but "contratante"? I'm genuinely curious. Did the writer mean "contretemps"? And shouldn't it be "eagle-eared"? The poor sub must have had to write this breaking story pretty quickly.

The whole thing is almost too good to be true. It's set me up for a delightful weekend.
But honestly, what scum

They cought my eye, as well. Perhaps a 'Concertante' could be a piece of music in which the instruments play against each other, rather than together?

Gather on the emBANKment 11 am; bring sarnie, banana, bicycle repair kit, and groundsheet for the rally in Hyde Park - reminder on kitchen table.
