Agreed HS, and you will have read a good many posts from other Board members reflecting the seriousness of the matter under discussion

As a 'host' who has obviously failed to do his duty, may I just express the hope that satire is not yet dead in the UK ?

Satire directed at the victims of sexual assault is an odd concept, as it is usually directed at those in positions of power, not those they abuse or attempt to abuse.

My heart was beating quite fast enough after my initial post, so I'm not staying here to feel the same way again!

I always thought that satire was directed at the powerful?

This seems like an appropriate post to respond to approvingly. I've also received a PM about this thread and am closing it on the grounds that it threatens to trivialise what is, and I'm sure there's no argument, a very sensitive topic since we have no way to judge how much it can upset individuals.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
