Annoying R3 Trailers

In the welter of adverts it only very recently crossed my mind that I hadn't heard any about the CCC, then, bang, as if on cue Monday morning the barrage started. I would say that at least there is an end date to the interference but of course it doesn't stop once the closing date is reached because then part 2 starts - trails for the end result and the voting. The latter process is very invasive in terms of the "normal" schedules, and often with a high cringe factor as well - telephone calls with finalists.
I don't know whether the creation of a kiddies section this year is a genuine attempt at creating opportunity or a move to up listening figures from invested relatives.

Alas on this new platform, I can see no way I can do this (it was the work of a few seconds on the old site). I shall ‘refer up’…"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

IIRC we've been here before - there is a distinction in media speak, but I can't remember what it is.
Trailer is film - of indeterminate length , very loud with usually with a very low bass note drone , heavily over cut and often with very deep voiced American voicing it.Last edited by Ein Heldenleben; 19-10-23, 10:40.

The cynic in me thinks that’s one of the main reasons for their existence - to fill airtime . So if you overrun on a live element you can drop the trail ( at the risk of dirty looks in the pub) or if you underrun you can shove a few more in ( brownie points and the distinct possibility of a pint).
