    Paraorchestra

Full marks to Charles Hazlewood's initiative.

Was on at Ch4 17.25 this afternoon. - They will be appearing at tonight's Paralympics Closing Ceremony.

Know nothing about it, but shouldn't it be 'Pararchestra'?

The admirable Mr. Lebrecht describes something of the kind:

Scratch Orchestra: Band of enthusiasts formed by the Anglo-Maoist Cornelius Cardew to pool human resources in the service of world revolution. Performances involved players, some of whom could not read or write music, sustaining a tune of their choice on any instrument for an indefinite period.
