But not very well. It would be good to hear from someone from BCD on this thread or even someone who's given their regards to Broad St in the last few hours! I remain sceptical!

A hearty recommendation for the friendly and knowledgeable service to be found at Record Corner in Godalming, Surrey - one of the oldest independant record shops still around.

On the Map page it does say:

"Should you be visiting Bath on your travels, this map should help you find us. The new shop is opposite the old one."

Although the border round the map is there, there's no map inside it, however.

I've finally got the links page to load, which makes all of them. Contact details there if anyone wants to email them (but you have to order a CD! )

And the map has appeared now. With your back to the abbey, Avon to your right, the shop is on the left hand side of Broad Street. Does that sound right for the new shop?

Eh? I just emailed them, inviting them to post a message here confirming or denying their demise. I found no need to order a CD at this time.

                A joke, hence

Ooops! was an afterthought - you must have replied in a split second as I added it straight away!

No, the split second add was the bit about the map. The smiley followed afterwards.

Hope this is now clear ...........

Very odd - the map shows the location of their old shop. The new shop should be on the other side of the road.

Anyway, I will pop over there tomorrow.

PS I take exception to shops flitting about all over the place.

                      Shops should stay put.

P'raps they just haven't had a new map done yet - they do say: "The new shop is opposite the old one."

That's the shop I bought a few CDs from last December.

Although the page won't load atm, I can read this much from google:

"BATH COMPACT DISCS – WE ARE MOVING. “We will be moving premises mid to late February 2012, but not very far! The new shop is opposite our current ..."

                            An article here.

Then that was the old shop:

I think I'll add a ? to the thread title - we don't want to start rumours!
