Scottycelt, congratulations to Andy Murray. It just goes to show what is possible in the hinterlands.
Lateralthinking, I am just as amazed .... apparently, the laddie's home is somewhere in the South East of Britain in the district of England and itself only a few miles away from that tennis court called Wombledin.
In 'The Great Race' with Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, Peter Falk and Natalie Wood among others there was the biggest custard pie fight ever - that would offer real inclusion and an exciting legacy for any games - mind you McDonald's would probably want us to use piping hot poptarts - spoilsports.
Sheepdog trials? Here's something from the Welsh region
mangerton - Incredible clip. Just goes to show what people can do when they give up crop circling.
Northender - Yes it was 'One Man and his Dog'. The unemployed should start up a television station with proper programmes like that one. And bring back 'Best of Brass' for people living in the North country.
Scottycelt - Wimbledon is on the District line rather than being in the district of England. England is allegedly a country but many of us on the Greater London/Surrey border favour Home Rule.
Odd fact of the day - Lateral likes sheep more than any other animal and consequently doesn't eat any meal with lamb in it.
