I think ahinton was winding us up; is he sure that his ideas will chime with modern taste?

I very much doubt it as a little birdie has just tweeted that his ideas are widely regarded as timeless, so he could just as easily find himself up before the beak.

Are you trying to tell me you think this story is a swiz?

We can rely on Boris for quirkiness!

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson was left dangling on a zip wire for several minutes when it stopped working at an Olympic live screen event.
          Pacta sunt servanda !!!

One of his flags would appear to be at half-mast. Is that for the death of his hopes of being taken for a serious politician?

Who cares, on the Richter scale of entertainment he's way, way off it and infinitely preferable to Cameron immediately popping up on TV and informing the country, in a very serious tone, how delighted and proud he is of 'Bradley', 'Helen' and 'Heather' ...

His trousers are certainly at half mast. Known as "iambics" in the trade.

But as scottycelt has pointed out, still preferable to the pathetic, egregious, band-wagon-jumping Cameron.

I'm not so sure - beneath that bumbling exterior lies a heart of steel. It will be interesting to see what his second term (won by a margin of 3%) is like. Most of the things in his first term that were popular were initiated by Ken: Boris was just lucky enough to be around when they came to fruition.

I cannot say, but, since I did mention both "wind up" and "movement" in what was then the current horological (though perhaps not otherwise logical) context, the nature of any "ideas" put forward there should be fairly clear, I'd have thought; at least they were my "ideas" rather than someone else's regurgitated, second hand, as it were but, cometh the hour, we surely won't need to concern ourselves with such minutiƦ in any case (long case or otherwise)...

Better that than splicing the main braces, though, surely?...

If trousers are at half-mast, aren't they in the process of falling down?

Still, at least he wasn't in a kilt

Unthank you for that, floss. I shall probably have nightmares about that mental image tonight.

I don't think that we need worry too much about it, unless his hopes for Tory leadership go completely a**e over t*t & he tries for First Minister.

...er this chap got quite upset ...
According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.
