On my BT email page one of the news headlines reports.....

Man charged as alligator eats his hand.' Gruesome, not funny and I can't get it on here I'm afraid.

Seems rather unfair on the man - shouldn't the alligator have been charged with GBH? & was the man charged whle it was in the process of eating his hand?

Sadly I can't give a citation for this story which is a few years old now. A German School, called something like Hochschule Friedrich Schiller received a stern letter from - I think - the German equivalent of HMRC, addressed to Herr Schiller and demanding to know why he had not filed any tax returns. The head wrote them a polite letter explaining that Herr Schiller is no longer with us, not these last two hundred years, and had never lived at that address anyway....

Sounds cuckoo, but could be some sort of insurance fiddle going on here, but I'd certainly bank on the efficient Swiss to watch over my Stradivarius and pull some strings to get it back to me. Someone should clock that guy who left it on the train, as his poor friend must be really gutted.

Right, this story is full of holes.

Scotty: are you going for the maximum number of Swiss-associated puns to be got into one message?

Supposedly, that's what makes him tick and gives his comments weight.

Must write a movement about that, as long as no one thinks that it would constitute a wind-up...
