Was there a big synch problem at the start of 'Jude'?
His voice is shot, poor old fella ...
Plus I always think it's a pretty inane song, don't like the mindless anthemic la-la-la chanting..."...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

A shame about PMcC, though. A false start, and then a voice that's years past its best. An embarrassing damp squib."...the isle is full of noises,

It inhabits much of the same territory, dazzling, touching, funny.

The other pleasing moment was seeing where my public sector job went. It was the 204th orange firework. I recognised it immediately.

Anna
The cauldron was an amazing feat of engineering.
Ceremony should have ended with the fireworks. Macca proved he's well past his sell by date at the Jubbly Concert.
But, a good night was had by all. Who on earth designed the Team GB kit?

One other query. Did the commentator say Evelyn Glennie had been "profoundly deaf since birth". If so, isn't that incorrect?
