Will Friday, July 27 2012 be a good day to bury bad news?

                You bet I'm jealous!

Enjoying all the anticipated excitement of the Olympics way down there in the Back of Beyond, amsey ... ?

Wow, aren't you just the lucky one! I feel so deprived 200 long miles away from it all without even being offered as much as a free ticket to watch that exciting new talent ,Ryan Giggs, play for England and Wales Incorporated... just wait till I next see that young Coe chappie!

I'm not worried about the impact the football matches in Glasgow will have on trafic - so few tickets have been sold that I doubt there will be any extra traffic

Haven't you heard? The whole country - nay, the whole world - will be rivetted, glued to their TV sets. I certainly will - mind you, I shall be watching 'Richard II', which I've saved on my PVR.

I do hope you are right and the train will be empty but somehow I doubt it…

That'll be the whole world except mangerton then. Good time to go shopping - or rob a bank!

...provided that one can find one that's still left to rob and which has any assets left to steal by then...

Best to wait and see if the Co-op appoint G4S to provide security staff for the 632 branches they're taking over.
