    OK.

Re other comments above, I agree that le Carre's use of skid mark is unusual. It is as unusual as his hyphen in mis-hit.

I am going to return to it now in case a fritillary appears.

Just my luck - to miss the highlight of the afternoon!
The last time I checked in an obviously over-excited or over-tired Sue Barker said that she wondered whether ROGER and Rafa were watching in the dressing room. Perhaps Novak paid Roger to watch this bore-fest for him.....

As Messrs Inverdale and McEnroe helpfully remind us, the last set of the Isner-Mahut match lasted 8 hours. So only another 7 or so to go. And as McEnroe reminds us, it's much harder to break serve at this stage (I forget exactly why) ...

Do they actually have the original Robinson's barley water there?

I only ask because the five bottles I have seen are all red or orange.

I think they all have high-tech sports nutrition drinks these days, plus energy gels etc. - all perfectly legal of course. I think the days of barley water are long gone.

                    Oh, I see.

I just have Simple gel in the bath and for my hair.

                    Other products are available.

Always read the terms and conditions.

                    It's 12-12 : could it be turned into a penalty shoot-out?

As the Stylistics once sang, Betjeman By Golly Wow.

Somewhere around 17-16 it became grimly compelling.

                        18-18.....and continuing.

John McEnroe is in no doubt there should be a tie-breaker in the 5th. This nonsense ruins it both for the next match, which could be pushed on to tomorrow, and for the winner of this match, who will be too knackered to give of his best on Sunday. They've done enough!

I suppose if the second semi was delayed until tomorrow, that would even it up a bit in terms of energy levels for the final.

We don't know how keenly fought that one will be yet.

The longest Grand Slam final of all time - 5:53 at the 2012 Australian Open...………..Djokovic v. Nadal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the meantime, well done to J Murray and Azarenka for getting through their mixed doubles match.

                            23-22......ongoing.

                                Anyhow, it's over.

Totally changed my mind once that fifth set started breaking records.

Thought it was brilliant in the end.

Especially the sportsmanlike way of both with the fans at its conclusion.

I'm now supporting Anderson in the final.

First South African in the men's singles final in 97 years.
