      Thanks for that pmartel, certainly a fine sound from that gramophone. Can't believe the fella didn't mention the violinist was Joe Venuti (note: the trumpet solo was Andy Secrest, Bix Beiderbecke was absent from that and all subsequent Whiteman sessions)

        John, I had one of these;



        I lost it in a flood and had done some adjustments on the 'soundbox' and was quite amazing after.

        I also had an Edison disc gramophone I lost too.

        When we do buy a house together, I'd need a room for my audio gear acoustically insulated so I can have my audio nights again, I miss those in a 246 sq ft condo.
