                  What a face!!! What fingers!

Fabulous clip! Inc the spooky reference to "this austerity business"....

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                  Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Greedy I like most of them and Donna Diana certainly seems a favourite.

                          I haven't begun yet.

                          Here's three symphonies:

Parry 3 (infectiously happy from first bar till last)
                          Arriaga in D (just perfect)
Dittersdorf: Der Stürz Phaëtons (one of the best of a great collection)

                          And three more:

Sibelius 3 (my favourite Sibelius - partly because of the second movement)
                          Dvořák 9 (easy choice!)
                          Kalinnikov 2 (or 1? - I can't make my mind up!)

                          And again:

Beethoven 6 (sounds new every time, whoever conducts it)
Sibelius 6 (exquisite - and a great perky oboe tune in the last movement)
Borodin 2 (has been an uplifting piece for me since about 1967)

                          Still more:

Elgar 1 (fell in love the first time I heard it)
Suk: Asrael (I know it's about death, but the 'feelgood' factor comes from the reconciliation in the final chorale. You just can't listen to it very often)
Mendelssohn: Italian (difficult to fault for sheer exuberance)

                          I could go on...

I plumped for no 4 as one of my 3 but hey ho ANY Parry symphony makes me feel good.

Glinka Ruslan and Ludmilla overure. BBM might like this one!

                              Mozart Diverimento in D

                              Grieg "Morning" from Peer Gynt

Quite a wide variation in pitches for the Grieg on some of the Spotify offerings.
