Three 'Feel Good' pieces for you.

Like many of us I have health problems. Listening to the Kodaly I thought I'd start this for your three feel good pieces - not necessarily great works. Off the cuff, as it were, I nominate

    Kodaly Hary Janos

    Janacek Mladi

    Chabrier Marche Joyeuse

This should cheer anybody up - the divine Jeanne Moreau sings this song, for no particular reason, in the film Jules et Jim. Someone chose it on Private Passions once.

ah M Tarleton this little piece from Jules et Jim does it for me the Vacances Theme with the wonderful cycling in the country and beach scenes...

          a perfect film

Yes I listen to the 'greats' mentioned but was thinking 'lollipops' as in the Beecham days- perhaps you don't relax with them as I do...... Donna Diana is another one forme.

Oedipus Rex cheered me up when I was feeling particularly down - the music has a tremendous energy, & as for the subject - well, nothing I was experiencing was as bad as Oedipus' problems!

Lovely . (Not so keen on the floral arrangement, though ).

Does about 15 years between us mean you have never heard Tommy's CDs ? Alright, whatever turns you on S-A.
