This was the last information posted by Bryn (with the Penguins #100). No update since, so we still don’t know if Petroc is actually on the way home yet. But let’s hope all is well.

This was from Zimbabwe just under an hour ago. But the latest was still only that they were on their way to collect the passport. It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Petroc has tweeted this afternoon that he is now at Jo'burg airport and on his way home."I do not approve of anything that tampers with natural ignorance. Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it and the bloom is gone. The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."

pity about the Zim tourism marketing - "It is assumed by the experts that it is critical for Zimbabwe, which has identified tourism among the four pillars of its economic recovery plan to market and promote itself as a safe and attractive destination. " - maybe installing lighting in the dormitory cells at police HQ might encourage the safety.
