    WIndies Test Series & Tour

midst all the crises jubilees etc it has crept up on us

first test at Lords and England seem to be doing well with the captain knocking a ton at last [long barren spell] bowlers superb ...

listening to test match special all day .... deeply calming and so can carry on etc ...

Which was OK and really interesting. Grateful thanks to you Calum, I had been enduring R3 and Sat Classics until I saw your posting and instantly switched to TMS (had completely forgotten about the cricket being on) Ooh, look, there's a pigeon flying past! Oh, I love it! Thank you

Oh yes and a good spell by the English bowlers.

I always forget how brilliant TMS is. I would like to see the action on tv, sound off, with the radio commentary on. However, am I right in thinking tv coverage is going to revert to BBC?

Not heard this Anna, and this 2009 piece suggests not.

Not sure, something to do with it being our National sport and stuff and we had a right to watch it without bluddy interference from the digger....... there were questions in the House ......

Certainly agree with you about TMS and I frequently actually do have the TMS commentary with the TV coverage. I seem to remember that as far as England matches are concerned the ECB signed a new exclusive agreement with Sky not so long ago , so no TV coverage on BBC as far as I am aware. Don't think the BBC have either the appetite or the money to cover cricket any more.

Did Titchmarsh really say what I thought I heard him say about sitting in a chair previously occupied by Viv Richards? Or was I imagining it? I was trying to negotiate traffic at the time!
