    Radio 4 has a guest using the Youbilee pronounciation (& also youmanity); dropping his aitches in a very patrician, rather than cockney, manner. Also monarch.

                        The problem with the Marmite jar is that, as everyone should know, 'Ma'am' is pronounced Mam, as in jam, not Mahm as in farm. Consequently the joke doesn't quite work

                        I think the river pageant is a brilliant theatrical idea - especially if it doesn't rain, and if the music is tolerable.
