The horror is upon us even before the actual date, when I shall be enjoying the rain in Great Langdale.
More a case of has painted. I watched him doing it outside .EAT in Windsor 'Royal' Station.

I think it was more the sort of health care that rushed her off to hospital whenever she got a fish bone stuck in her throat that kept her going to 100.
The relatively frequent fish bone incidents always tended to call to my mind the incidence of oesophageal varices in the gullets of chronic topers

      Entirely scurrilous thought, I'm sure

It might do if I could read Turkish. I did visit Istanbul recently, but I didn't even manage to learn the most basic (well, I did learn the Turkish for 'Men' & 'Women')

                        The English version says that

"The location of her birth remains uncertain, but reputedly she was born either in her parents' Westminster home at Belgrave Mansions, Grosvenor Gardens, or in a horse-drawn ambulance on the way to a hospital. Other possible locations include Forbes House in Ham, London ... Her birth was registered at Hitchin, Hertfordshire,"

                        Plenty of choice, then

"She spent much of her childhood at St Paul's Walden and at Glamis Castle, the Earl's ancestral home in Scotland."

Glamis is currently in Angus, I believe. I suppose it might have been in Aberdeenshire when she lived there. & her favourite residence is in Sutherland.

I'll see if I can rustle up the officially verified Scots Doric account from somewhere, Floss ....
