Aye, and aren't the evenings fairly drawing in as well, Amsey?

Silly me for not hitherto realising that it is 'groups' that have votes at General Elections and not 'individuals' ... so that's why my chosen candidate never seems to win ...!

In the real world, I thought today's highlights of the Queen's Jubilee Pageant were utterly stunning, though ... didn't manage to watch it all last weekend.

Pauls death was a great loss to music

Great stuff and much more part of our tradition than much of the nonsense that we seem have been witnessing recently !
So how about a complete Great Learning for the Jubbly ?
or even getting Max Eastley to do the Olympics ?

The smell of the Bow Gamelan performances I attended in the '80s still lingers. Wonderful stuff indeed!

Prince Charles (what a delightfully Stuart-sounding name) is now more popular than William (horrible Hanoverian sort of name), and is the people's preferred choice as our future King, according to the latest opinion poll.

God Save the Duke of Rothesay!

Be careful what you wish for (as the now rather well-worn cliché has it); upon the dissolution of the Union, you might just end up with the current Duke of Edinburgh as the King of Scotland!...
