I was surprised to hear that Madness will be covering a Crosby, Stills and Nash song.

Which paper has the best photos of the boats? I bought the Mirror and was a bit disappointed. (No Murdoch please).

Now that's what I call jubilee entertainment ! Marvellous, thanks Lat.

( Once, when a musician pal was round and wanted to know why I rated wfmu so much, we tuned in and
Irwin Chusid was playing a Bernard Bresslaw hit to his mid-afternoon New York audience ! )

          See, hear !

Went for a walk up the High Street and was surprised to see a few side-roads closed off and having street parties!!

So uplifting to see the depth of feeling for the wonderful occasion.

I think it's huge fun - like a field where the locals can gurn and chuck wet sponges at each other. Don't separate them!

Breaking News .... Prince Philip has been taken into King Edward VIIth Hospital in London with a bladder infection as a precautionary measure. At 90 years of age, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Mind you, it does mean that he misses the concert tonight and some further shindig tomorrow .... nice work HRH

Sincere best wishes for a speedy recovery

Yes, I thought that when I heard the news too. Poor queen, though, having to go through tonight's "concert" without the duke's witty asides to keep her amused.
