Always wanted to try an Arbroath smokie,...ever since a legendary "Football Focus " one saturday lunchtime. The Scottish reporter was supposed to be previewing Arbroath against some other, presumably bigger team.
But he didn't. He just went on abou the the tasty fish for about ten minutes. Which was probably TV time well used, on reflection.
Where can you buy a good one down here?
(Might get some in for the South wilts republican bash Tuesday week !!)I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I bought some Arbroath smokies yesterday - not in the freezer. they'll be eaten in the next 48 hours! Hurrah for the Scandinavians that took the smoking process to Scotland.
my grandmother was
but i'm not really ................. must have been after the Flying Teapot episode
love the fantasist quote
"I seek a land of elysian fields where the sweet sounds of Ligeti are heard every morning to beckon the dawn !"
(of course without the EU they wouldn't be making them anymore in Arbroath so raise a dram of Talisker to the PGI scheme)

I am sure in genuinely free european markets, unencumbered by a banking led E U, run by an army of bureaucrats at our (tax)expense, there would be plenty of business for the scottish smoked fish guys.
Get rid of all the deadweights, ( overpaid bankers, royalty, Euro MPs, etc etc) and I reckon it would be smokies for dinner twice a week for everybody !I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
