Beatles Fans? A single album version of 'The Beatles' 1968 album?

I agree there is "dead wood", but you surely can't leave out the eerie, subtle and often neglected Harrison track, "Long, Long, Long", involving only George himself, Ringo, Paul on Hammond organ and Chris Thomas on piano. It is a rather extraordinary piece, starting as a gentle whisper and ending with George's exhausted wail of relief and the unplanned 30 second wine bottle rattle. In the middle 8 he sings of "So many tears I was searching, So many tears I was wasting" and at the end he does seem to have arrived at some sort of mystical conclusion or reconciliation.

For some reason, I rejected a number of songs that I like listening to, but did not think them worthy of a final 15 (your friend has included them; Glass Onion, I'm So Tired, Piggies, Sexy Sadie, Why Don't We Do It In The Road.

and over the course of weeks sailing across the Pacific several of us spent the Middle Watch as drunk as possible and attempting to sing Rocky Raccoon from memory ... a worthy challenge

In no particular order, Beef, Glass Onion, The continuing story of Bungalow Bill, Blackbird, Piggies, Yer Blues, Helter Skelter, Revolution 1, Cry Baby Cry, I'm so tired, Sexy sadie, Revolution 9, Birthday, Savoy Truffle, Julia, Everybody's got something to say except for me and my monkey. Afraid I over-listened to while my guitar over the years and from a cover perspective I once saw Ritchie Havens do a wonderful version of Rocky Raccoon on Old Grey, or Disco 2 or some such BBC delight and I'd have that as the cover addition.

....but maybe Callum singing it would suffice!
