    This made me smile ...

Well to be honest it made me roar with schadenfreude-laden laughter ...

Jeremy Clarkson loses a legal battle in a dispute over public access to a path near his Isle of Man lighthouse property.

some advocate has seen her pension pot generously fed - catch is JC had already had every other appeal turned down - the Deemster getting quite annoyed with his tactics in earlier courts - he + wife was also somewhat rebuked in an earlier court when after claiming they had no knowledge of the path - the advocates handling the conveyance pointed out it was explicitly mentioned in the contract.

I wonder who pays the costs .
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

          This is a real question

Why does the BBC have a website page about the IOM when the IOM is NOT part of the UK ?

Do they have to have a TV licence?

Bad news for elderly trumped up toffs pretending to be teenagers. Great news for people who should be shot in front of their families. Hopefully these outdoor sporty types will now have their sandwiches by the path daily, preferably at daybreak:

would a minor matter that the Manx pay the licence fee be relevant?
