Could it be that, like 'pre-loved' clothes in a charity shop, the frozen food has been been previously bought by another customer? (It should then be marked 'pre-defrosted'.)

Some 'fresh' food (mostly of the fish variety I think) is labelled - usually not at all prominently - 'previously frozen', which I always find rather a dubious situation in conjunction with 'fresh'.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some that say it's safe to refreeze (even though previously frozen), which is generally not advised.

Tonight's chicken (taken out of the freezer and gently defrosting in the fridge) is of the 'roast in a bag' variety.
Decided to delay cooking it for Sunday dinner, as we had to get ready for choir Zoom committee meeting, so I guess it was 'pre-bought' for Sunday and now becomes Monday's meal instead?

              Firefox Android update:

Primary Password is replacing Master Password. Firefox is removing terminology from the browser that has been identified as derogatory or exclusionary.

I suppose my camera will no longer be able to have a slave flash added.

What about all those boxed sets of various composers' masterpieces?

Unfortunately there are no feminine equivalents to masterpieces. And long gone is the time when I could have referred to that nice piece I saw you out with the other night! Added to which (!) a mistress stroke would refer to something else!

I don't think it's really about gender, but rather about master/slave/servant. I don't think that the term primary is any better.

Apparently, a 'mutant' algorithm is to blame for the exam results fiasco.

                            The mind boggles!

As I've recently said elsewhere, nobody is ever to blame for anything any more.

In my working life in business the algorithm that unfailingly predicted the outcome correctly was Stages in a Project.

Blame was the name of the game and one needed political skills and fancy footwork to avoid it.
