Could it be that, like 'pre-loved' clothes in a charity shop, the frozen food has been been previously bought by another customer? (It should then be marked 'pre-defrosted'.)

Some 'fresh' food (mostly of the fish variety I think) is labelled - usually not at all prominently - 'previously frozen', which I always find rather a dubious situation in conjunction with 'fresh'.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some that say it's safe to refreeze (even though previously frozen), which is generally not advised.
Tonight's chicken (taken out of the freezer and gently defrosting in the fridge) is of the 'roast in a bag' variety.
Decided to delay cooking it for Sunday dinner, as we had to get ready for choir Zoom committee meeting, so I guess it was 'pre-bought' for Sunday and now becomes Monday's meal instead?

Unfortunately there are no feminine equivalents to masterpieces. And long gone is the time when I could have referred to that nice piece I saw you out with the other night! Added to which (!) a mistress stroke would refer to something else!

I don't think it's really about gender, but rather about master/slave/servant. I don't think that the term primary is any better.
As I've recently said elsewhere, nobody is ever to blame for anything any more.
