Yes. Hit, strike, batter, attack would all be better than shoot Unless they had some sort of crossbow contraption.

I was wondering about our butcher's notice: Somerset free range pork belly. Created quite a comical image.

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

When I worked on Morrisons deli counter they had free range pork pies. Devil of a job keeping them under control...

Surely, they'd be for eating in an SUV parked in the car park at Twickenham before a match....

              (Perhaps not from Morrisons.....)

... The confidential use of information in order to gain an unfair advantage when betting "may constitute an offence of cheating under Section 42 of the Gambling Act, which is a criminal offence", according to a Gambling Commission spokesperson. ...
BBC article on Bristol NW candidate, Laura Saunders. (I'm guessing this is French Frank's home turf.)
Should that be "use of confidential information"?

It is indeed my new home since the boundary changes. A person is innocent until proved guilty: I won't let it affect my vote (Yes,'use of confidential information' but I don't think I'll bother to write in this time - I'll leave it to another pedant.)

However, as dear old Oscar so nearly said "To have one candidate place a bet, Mr Worthing, may be regarded as a misfortune; to have two looks like carelessness.

"Tory director of campaigning being looked into over betting along with candidate wife"
Is she a candidate to be his wife?

Perhaps when he first met her he got an election

I know the Tory party are guilty of some massive misdemeanours, but an autopsy on a LIVE Tory director is perhaps a little severe
