    Your favourite QUINTETS, any mix of instruments.

    I thought it about time we had a 'list' thread again.


    I'll start with MOZART K 452, the Quintet for Keyboard and Winds. {oboe,clarinet,bassoon,horn}

    Lots of great ones to choose from.......but The Dvorak op 81 Piano Quintet is brilliant. (and the op 5 is surprisingly good too).

          Amazed no one has yet mentioned the great Schubert quintet for strings. Should be top of everyone's list !

              I love the Guitar quintets (string quartet + guitar) by Boccherini,

              especially one with a Fandango movement and added castanets

                            The Brahms is wonderful.
                            Sadly the trout just falls into that "I have heard it too many times " category. I really hope I get over it at some point, but I fear I won't.
