Raff: Piano Quintet in A minor op. 107
Stanford: Piano Quintet in D minor op. 25
Stanford: String Quintet no. 1 in F major op. 85
Suk: Piano Quintet in G minor op. 8
Taneyev: Piano Quintet in G minor op. 30
Vierne: Piano Quintet in C minor op.42

I agree with many of the above classics.
The Mozart G minor is possibly my favourite of all his chamber works.
I only got to know the Rimsky Piano Quintet a year ago on the disc mentioned above - I love it.
Shostakovich and Franck on the same disc with the Hollywoods is marvellous.
Brahms Piano and Clarinet.
Schumann op 44 is a long-standing favourite.
Both Faurés.
A pity if being so well-known should rule out the Trout.

Thanks. I did enjoy that, but it was all a bit too 'smoothed out' for me, lacking the crunch of the Vienna performance.

My favourite performance, incidentally, is by Artur Pizarro and the Petersen Quartet.

And there is Mozart's Horn Quintet (are there any other horn quintets with horn+strings?)*
I like some of Anton Reicha's quintets, not just the all-wind ones but wind+strings e.g the Oboe Quintet op 107.
