    Well if I may, a fountain pen can be a Dangerous Thing if it leaks in the wrong place. One came apart in my (Harris tweed) jacket pocket when I were a lad, and my mother was Not Pleased.

        I have never owned a pair of brogues, nor even one brogue.

        I do think though that my shoes would have escaped uninked.

        (Sort of sole survivors, probably. )
