Yes, I know. Poor show. Still, Anna could just be making it up, so I think we should "speculate wildly" (to quote 1066 and All That) in any case. On the other hand, two Scotsmen locked in an understairs cupboard would be rather noisy, I should have thought.

      Especially if they had bagpipes.

      mangerton: take note!!
Oh, I am taking very careful notes, in triplicate.

          Indeed to goodness, Anna.

(Welsh people don't say that, do they, Anna - any more than they say "look you" (loo queue) to emphasise a point?)

No, of course they don't <embarrassed wriggle type emoticon not wishing to confirm to racial stereotype and confirm that it is true so I'll go and cook something instead>

So mangie, we know the drill if.... if? when!.... we are invited to one of Anna's curry evenings!!

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Oh très élégant! And I do hope it's "when". Anna makes so many tantalising references to the delicious things that she cooks.... I'll take a bottle of Glenmorangie, and my fountain pen to note the recipes.

There's a lovely top pocket in that ginger onesie, just right for a fountain pen

And two fine pockets for your Moleskine notebook and a packet of Fisherman's Friends

A slight tangent from saly's perfectly on-topic evocation of the disintegrating dunked biscuit, it's true!

I blame Anna and her gingernuts!

However, ts, a timely call to order
