Ams, I did post about the hamper on the Stormy thread when I won it - from memory: bottle of Prosecco, bottle of red, Christmas cake & pudding, speciality crackers and nuts, choc truffles, speciality tea, coffee, sweeties, shortbread, etc., etc. Always worth a punt for a quid! It came in a beautiful wicker hamper, I then donated the hamper (minus contents of course!) for them to sell. A win-win situation!
Our local BHF is very good for quality knits and trousers (I've had some bargains) and books.

Sorry for my CRAFT moment, Anna

That's a proper hamper and no mistake - and well done you for recycling the hamper

Same here. I'm rather glad we're packing it in as the amount spent for no return was becoming ludicrous. We are still carrying on doing the bonus ball game ie 16 of us paying £2 a week to pick the bonus ball and whoever gets it wins the pot. It hasn't been won for many weeks and is currently over £400. Hoping number 49 is the one that eventually wins the pot.

Our work syndicate was scrapped a couple of years ago, simply too much hassle getting the money off everyone.
I am one of those mugs who has been doing the same numbers since the lottery started, based on birthdays and such.
I won't be carrying on at 2 quid a go but I'll never be able to look at the drawn numbers again.
I've never bought a scratch card and didn't realise you could pay £10 for one, good heavens !!

Why don't you do a small reliable syndicate, and keep the numbers. Sure to come up soon........

            perhaps a board syndicate.

I think the £2 a go will be a change to far for many and my own local research at work and home does suggest that a good number of people are using the increase as an excuse to finally stop doing it. If they do as they say and this is replicated in offices and homes across the country, as I think it will be, then it is, as I said above, a spectacular own goal by the National Lottery who no doubt want to make all their executives extremely rich before they lose the licence. I believe that Camelot are not bidding for it again anyway.

I've gone for an e/w double Integral and Pacific Heights, plus my usual footie acca.

Lets hope for some winners. Getting rather cheesed off with my long losing run.

Bit like my run on the EuroLotto - except your odds are better, I s'pose

All ran respectably with Integral and Graphic both looking likely winners at one stage. Good choices in hard to solve races.

I thought that Integral had got it sewn up then Sky Lantern appeared out of nowhere to clinch it. Perhaps I should just follow Tom Segal in the RP and have done with it! I'm certainly not in the money at the moment.

Opposing Sky Lantern is always unwise - she was very unlucky in her last two runs and she didn't half quicken today - one hell of a filly.

Tomorrow I'm going for Venezia in the 3.35 Newmarket. Not given a hard time at Sandown on debut, I understand this attractive grey colt has been pleasing team Cecil in his subsequent work on the gallops. Main danger could be the Irish newcomer Johann Strauss !!

As a fun each way outsider I shall also be on Agent Allison in the 4.10 Newmarket. It just may be that the long straight of the Rowley Mile will suit a horse who never quite settled round the bends at Great Yarmouth last month but who was finishing to some purpose.
