Many thanks Alison. Should be able to nip into Betfred tomorrow evening after coming home from work.

Currently 9/2 freely available. Could go shorter by off time.

That's the trouble, I do worry ! I rather wish Noble Mission wasn't in the race to complicate matters as he is
            a flipping good horse.

All I would say is that on Betfair Noble is three times the price of Thomas to win the Leger. It's just possible he
had a hard race at Goodwood too.

Could be another thriller actually !

Please do not worry I am playing with the bookies money you so kindly provided - worth a bet on the Leger?

Well, if my info is right its just possible that TC will hose up making the 12-1 for the Leger look pretty appealing. I'm on at 14s e/w. So many dreams have been dashed on that blinding knavesmire though !

9/2 from Betfred this evening. One concern I have is that presumably as stable jockey, Tom Queally had the choice between TC and NM? Jockey bookings can mean something or nothing and Ryan Moore on TC is enough to give me confidence. And your info of course!

Frankel runs today. I gather from the Today programme that Sir Henry Cecil, despite his illness, will be there this time. Good luck to both of them.

Ah well you win some, you lose some, Alison.

Many congratulations to Frankel and Sir Henry Cecil. A once in a lifetime horse.

Just been watching playbacks of this afternoons action.

Really wonderful scenes surrounding Frankel, very poignant with the frail Sir Henry making
his first trip to the races for many weeks.

Very sorry about a disappointing run in the Great Voltigeur. A strange race with our selection hanging
and not looking comfortable with the slow pace early on. I am sure he will prove his class in due course
as I know he is held in very high regard by the Cecil team and was said to look fantastic in the paddock.
The outsider of six won - as they say, that's racing !

Any sense of lingering disappointment was dispelled by the phenomenal Frankel in the next race, a very moving
                        few minutes.

Very, very true Petrushka - I have never seen any horse like Franke -l he made some very good middle distance horses look like selling platers after they went, what seemed, a very good gallop.

Never ceases to surprise me how, in a St Leger trial that is worth winning in its own right, and in so many races at York generally, staying horses are held up off a very slow pace and not surprisingly pull/hang and are caught flat-footed. Who gives this kind of riding instruction, unless a deliberate attempt to conceal their horse's potential? As a guide to what might happen at Doncaster, virtually useless.

(similar applies to the middle- and long-distance running events at the Olympics!)

I'm not sure I know enough to understand the previous post fully, but at least it didn't apply to the Juddmonte (to link the themes!) And if there was any plan to eliminate Frankel's final 'sprint' (if he ever really 'sprints') it certainly didn't work. It was enough to bring a tear to the eye as he eased past the pack at the time of Tom Queally's choosing.
