Not sure a bookies would face bankruptcy from a big payout in this day and age, though.
Well, it's a one-man concern in the backstreets of Greater Manchester! And it makes a good storyline in the ongoing feud!!!
Sorry for going so off-topic. Best of luck with your selections for today, hoping you report back later that you've made a profit (and to Rob and Alison of course)
Many thanks as usual Pet for taking the time and trouble.
I think I'm going to go for Barizan.Bocciani, Peniaphobia and Kitten on the Run in the usual lucky 15,which means your other two selections are sure to win.

Not having much luck, I'm afraid. Don't suppose the single winner yielded very much. I did worse as I changed my mind and went on Lilbourne Lass who came second to Peniaphobia
No boxed sets this week.

Never change your mind.
Double the odds for one winner so a couple of squid lost today.
There's always next week,we must be due a biggie!!
Will this be a Saturday I either kick myself for not placing a bet or breathe a sigh of relief?
In Coronation Street (sorry, I confess to watching it and I know it's not real!) a character placed an accumulator of £500, all horses came in, he won £35,000 - and Barlow's Bookies faces bankruptcy!
Do you know anyone who has staked, and won, such a large amount?
A friend of mine won £10,000 for a £10 stake on a football accumulator a few years ago.
I don't know the TV story Anna but these days a bookie is very unlikely to go out of business.
The book on a race would normally be carefully calculated so the losing bets would cover the winning ones.
Facing such a potentially huge payout however,a bookie would normally lay the bet off,i.e. place the same bet with another or several other firms to reduce the liability should it come off.

I get treble the odds on a Lucky 15 at Betfred. As it's hard enough getting one winner I prefer to place three £10 single bets and I generally do OK with that. There's far too much racing going on every Saturday resulting in small fields and it's no good for punters.
By the way, wish Alison would put up some of her excellent tips on here!

Certainly not with the weather forecast - which could play havoc with the form if we get loads of rain tomorrow !
Yes, this could be a major concern at Ascot but York looks like getting away with it. Look out for some possible big priced winners at Ascot though if the promised rains come.
I always used to like a sudden change in the going, and looking for a big priced outsider who likes the new conditions.
Might have a little flutter on "Pet's Picks" if I get near a bookies. Good luck today punters, still lots of those Britten complete sets needing good homes !!
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
