You and me both
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
I'm just grateful that my bets were in my head and not at the bookies! Also, first time I've watched in years because of horses being have to put down, good to see that with the modifications it was casualty free.
That's the positive side. On the negative, Tesco might be running short of Lasagne next week.
Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.

Very glad that all horses and jockeys came home safe.

I put one pound each way on the winner for Lady Gould and picked up 84.50, when I asked if I could keep the two pound original stake she declined to allow this.....at least Fenwicks will be happy!

Know your rights, as Joe Strummer said !
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

If Lady G had met Joe Strummer, I feel sure she would have mentioned it to you !
when I say I have worked in the industry.........well I have. not at an influential level though, really.
Yup, feel bad about NA but he got a good payoff, a new job, and will always be a legend at our place, so perhaps it worked out after all.
One of those people who gives football a good name.
I see the Monkey Hangers won't give in just yet...best to go down fighting (and taking p******th with them...!!)

Indeed; I understand that gigantic toothbrushes had been inserted into the jumps, allowing the horses to have their teeth cleaned while they break through them.
An interesting outsider for today is Hamelin 4.40 Newbury.
Likely to be top notch in time, it's a question of how the horse takes to his racecourse debut. If he settles he could waltz past all of them. Small ew bet rather than banker.
Just passing on what I heard up on the Heath . . .
