That's the positive side. On the negative, Tesco might be running short of Lasagne next week.

I put one pound each way on the winner for Lady Gould and picked up 84.50, when I asked if I could keep the two pound original stake she declined to allow this.....at least Fenwicks will be happy!

AG,I have worked in the industry, and i am telling you as a FACT that it is law of the land that under these circumstances you get 20% PLUS the original stake.

A fantastic outcome for the race and good to see the prize landed by real stalwarts of the northern chasing scene.

Teaforthree did look the likeliest winner approaching the last only to run short of petrol on the run in.

A modest profit with an each way bet.

I can't wait for the flat action proper to begin the week after next at Newmarket and Newbury.

I presume you, the Industry and Joe Strummer have not met Lady G

Good result today ts although maybe just a little tinge of sadness for NA?

not as far as I am aware. I am sure I would recall such an event !!

If Lady G had met Joe Strummer, I feel sure she would have mentioned it to you !

when I say I have worked in the industry.........well I have. not at an influential level though, really.

Yup, feel bad about NA but he got a good payoff, a new job, and will always be a legend at our place, so perhaps it worked out after all.

Yes we avoid the drop for the week only - I feel the Saints will be safe.

All in the week Portsmouth Point was on Breakfast!

Indeed; I understand that gigantic toothbrushes had been inserted into the jumps, allowing the horses to have their teeth cleaned while they break through them.

An interesting outsider for today is Hamelin 4.40 Newbury.

Likely to be top notch in time, it's a question of how the horse takes to his racecourse debut. If he settles he could waltz past all of them. Small ew bet rather than banker.

Just passing on what I heard up on the Heath . . .
