A couple more to keep you going ....

NOBLE MISSION to win at Glorious Goodwood the week after next.

ATARAXIS is Sir Henry's best 2yo, a flying machine and one to look forward to in a week or two. :)
I see that Ataraxis is amongst the Derby entries . I hope he has got over whatever stopped him racing at 2 .

      I'll make enquiries Barbs.

Stoutie reckons he's got a good Derby hope in Telescope.

Indeed he was very impressive at Newmarket and Richard Hughes clearly was mighty taken with him. Ryan Moore will be praying for an injury free year.

I see Frankel seems to have started his new "career" successfully ...........

Not a certainty Alison, but Dodging Bullets in the Supreme Novices Hurdle might be worth a dabble at around 9/1 or 10's if you can find it (just a little whisper I've heard).

I like being on something at that sort of price for that race.

Me too! My most frequent wins lately have been at 4/1. Never forget the very first bets I put on at Cheltenham were Voy Por Ustedes and Sublilmity on consecutive days and both won at 14/1 and 16/1 (2006, I think). Never had that kind of luck again! One thing I've so often found is that winners at the Festival are rarely those that are hyped up by the media.

2003 was my first full Festival and after Back in Front, Azertyuiop and Rooster Booster went in - I thought it was easy ! Been finding out for 10 years since that it isn't. I do miss the old three day Festival though - much too much padding nowadays .

And much, much too expensive! I used to go on the Thursday and Friday but at £75+ for a Club Enclosure ticket plus £50 odd rail fare (that's each day) I've had to reduce it to just Gold Cup Day this time. Hopefully, winning bets pay for the expense but I've been known to go through the entire Festival without a single winner.

Could Frankel present Saturday Classics? Sounds eminently qualified

Would certainly choose Josef Strauss's Jockey Polka and Carriage and Pair by Benjamin Frankel.

Are there any musically-named runners in this year's festival? I usually bet on the basis of name associations rather than form, being a very occasional punter on the horses.

I am an annual member which is quite good value as in essence you pay for the Festival and get in free for the rest of the year and outside the Festival have the seats in the level above the bars . There is a members marquee also at the Festival but further down the track on top of the Tote building near the bottom of the paddock .
