    High Jinks or High Jacking

o wot larks they must have thought we can use the Citizen's Charter to spin the CORPO CAUSE and keep LAW ON OUR SIDE

A leaked memo shows that Bell Pottinger, the subject of an undercover investigation published in this newspaper in December last year, has offered to help potential clients set up petitions demanding changes to EU law under the new programme, whose rules specifically bar organisations from doing so.

can't wait for Leveson III to uncover the tip of the iceberg .... the bigger issue is the 'Lobby' all these corpocat flunkeys pushing their masters' interests in Westminster and the capitals of the EU

According to Wikipedia.........Baron Bell was instrumental in the Conservative election campaign victories of Margaret Thatcher and advised the future Prime Minister on interview techniques, clothing, and even hairstyle choices. He was seconded to the National Coal Board to advise on media strategy at the start of the miners' strike, courted newspaper editors and worked on devastating attacks on the Labour Party. He was knighted in 1990 by Margaret Thatcher and then made a Life Peer by Tony Blair in 1998.

He managed the media attention on ex-spy Alexander Litvinenko and successfully lobbied on behalf of the Saudi government to discontinue the Serious Fraud Office investigation into alleged bribes in the Al Yamamah arms deal. He has performed public relations work for the authoritarian government of Belarus and for the Pinochet Foundation. He also has a conviction for indecency for masturbating at his bathroom window in sight of passers-by. He has recently been an adviser to the Iraqi government on the "promotion of democracy" who presumably are being told by Britain that they can't handle that well privately themselves.

So, he's done some excellent things and some bad things. About par for the course for most people, then. Particularly for people in PR, whether of the right or the left.
