What would you take of 10 items, music or books?

You are going on holiday. Don't ask why, you can only take 10 items. They can all be CDs or music in some other format, 1 hour or so each,or books. What would you choose? Titles and/or performers needed.

I never listen to music on holiday unless I attend performances while there but if I did I would take a few CD's relevant to my location.

My reading matter on holiday follows the same theme. For example in Paris a few years ago I took a clutch of Simenon's Maigret titles as well as Is Paris Burning? by Larry Collins and Domenique Lapierre. In Vienna, I read Last Waltz in Vienna by George Clare and while I was in Krakow (taking in Auschwitz) I chose Thomas Kennealy's Schindler's Ark. It made it that much more unforgettable to visit the locations mentioned in the books as I read. I managed to find Oscar Schindler's apartment in Krakow long before the film came out!

I strongly recommend taking relevant books on your travels!

My tottering pile of unread books makes a Kindle somewhat unnecessary and as for mustard I'll buy it on location.
