              no contest IMV
can i suggest Wickham festival as a little holiday, for anybody who is up for a bit of folk/folk rock type stuff.

A better, more chilled way to spend 4 days is hard to imagine, and you could do it for £300 for 2 people, (and tiny people are free).
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

there's no pleasing some people, as Jesus said.

You DO get Oysters......... THESE :.http://www.oysterband.co.uk/
                  And they ARE brilliant.

Nobody talks much, except some beardy , folky mumbling by the singers between tunes.
Only a couple of thousand there, and you can sit in your camping chair and doze the afternoon away, just like being in France.
                  !!
It's in a covered big top.
You can drink your own wine on the camp site, and smuggle some into the arena.(which might make you feel edgy).

Mind you festival food is none too clever...

I'm sorry to see that Mario from Malta was, or at least feels so insulted he has left us. He went back to the old MBs and many an argument about Beethoven symphonies, etc come to mind.

Best wishes Mario if you read this, and please consider returning. salymap xx

                      with this as well

                      and these

Don't get me wrong I love festivals but as a "holiday" ?
I spend far too much of my brain discussing music as it is

well, probably just as well....we don't want too many people there cluttering the place up, and taking the best places !

I will just have to leave Languedoc for another year...again....unless those numbers came up last night !

I, too, hope that Mario's absence is only temporary - an early Easter holiday, perhaps? - and that he didn't take offense from what anybody said (none was ever meant by me: my "risen one" was a reference to his nom-du-web).

Hi ferney. I think it was a reference to shooting small birds and maligning Malta in his eyes.I too hope he reconsiders.

Mario's response to that message did suggest that he was miffed but not that he was leaving

I think i irritated him a couple of weeks ago by suggesting that most Man Utd fans are fair weather, and come from Surrey.
But we made friends afterwards !
Lets hope it is just a short absence.
