LED driving lights are increasingly being fitted to even quite humble cars (I think first saw them on larger Audis). They do increase the daytime visibility of the car - and at least those idiots who drive in rain/fog with no lights or (just as bad) sidelights only can be seen. LED lights will use a minimal amount of energy (and are not hot).

I agree regarding xenon headlights though - very dazzling both ahead and behind.

Pet hates: stupid decorative blue lights on cars and lorries
rear foglights on when it's absolutely clear visibility (and front fogs for that matter)

i have heard that driving in Cairo is particularly dangerous after dark, as much of the population believes that using lights increases petrol consumption. I don't know if its true.

Well said ER. Telly almost pointless these days without the footy.

Actually, thinking about it, pompey fans could go in, obviously.

virtually all football is on SKY. The amount of football on terrestrial is minimal.

Regardless of which channel it is on, it is the most palpably vicious influence on today's society (viz avarice; selfishness; cheating; lack of loyalty; absurd self aggrandisement etc)
