    The chloroplast volcano

Anyone else noticed a strange cyan/viridian tinge to mother earth this past few days?

Might I - dare I - mouth the word that begins with S?

    My nom-de-plume is a clue...

      Near, but no cigar, meinherr.

Not but what the peculiar tinge is associated with the word you suggest.

Snowdrops in profusion a dozen miles east of you (makes up for the cruelly frost blasted camellias around Highfield): am I on message here?

I've met a few lichenologists and they all say 'liken'.

But the hues of lichen are many and various over the year.

Likenology is a good thing, I guess.
