    Historic footage of Canadian history

    The BIG buzz here of late was of film footage shot in the early part of the 20th century of exploration of early Canada during the Hudson's Bay explorations in Canada.

    Quite stunning footage was discovered and returned home.

    But THANKS to BFI archives for keeping it in such archival condition;

    The Winnipeg Film Group was founded in 1974 and is a charitable, artist-run organization dedicated to promoting the art of cinema.

    Sorry for the typo, obviously meant History in the title

        handsomfortune, I know.

        I LOVE history and when something like that turns up that excites me.

        I also LOVE to document what I call 'current history' that being any old buildings from our past here in Toronto that haven't yet hit the wrecking ball for condos.

        To me that is important and being an avid photographer of 30 years, I try to do as much as I can on my day off.

        Having just gotten into videography, that can be fum shooting video segments of old bldgs in the city and do that as well

        I could devote so much time to doing that, BUT UNFORTUNATELY I have a mortgage to pay, so my current job does that.
