I did enjoy it, although the performances could do with a little injection of pace, here and there.

I wanted to collect some of the other volumes (especially for the gorgeous artwork!), but I could not quite justify it on musical or financial terms.

Happily, the Festetics full survey came along at a very low price as a download on Qobuz. I think that I'm out of the market for any more Haydn quartet recordings, unless something very special comes along.

Ordered the huge Szell box from Amazon on Sunday morning at 11:44. It arrived at 17:35 yesterday evening, an impressive turn around of 30 hours.

      Can anyone beat that?

Hopefully arriving tomorrow - Alan Walker's new biog of Chopin. I've read his definitive 3-vol biog of Liszt twice. I've found a copy rather cheaper than the publication price

Looks like Phil has made all the 'tracks' available on Youtube, but I wanted the CD and was lucky enough to find it at a low price from Music Magpie.

How did you manage that? That's amazing.

That's nothing. Andrew Lloyd Webber's greatest hits arrived a month before I ordered it (although I'm not sure I even ordered it).

They could have arrived a few decades before he'd "written" them.

I have the alternative recording with Jonas Kaufmann on CAPRICCIO. It's a good piece, well worth hearing, and there are two(-ish) complete recordings available on youTube, this one sound only:
